WHO WE ARE

We are a family of disciples living in and around Sioux Falls who are…

  • Transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ;
  • Committed to a regular rhythm of gathering and scattering;
  • Living lives that worship and serve our Lord.

We are supported and sent out by First Evangelical Free Church in Sioux Falls, SD to continue the mission of Knowing God and Making Him Known in Sioux Falls.

We share the same doctrine and ethos as First Evangelical Free Church. We also continue to share an elder board, budget, and resources.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We are in full agreement with the Evangelical Free Church of America’s Statement of FaithWe can summarize our core values in a few short phrases: God; Love; Gospel Doctrine; Gathering & Scattering; Preaching & Prayer

God: God and his glory are at the center of everything that exists. Thus, our focus as a church is on God.

Love: Our greatest call is to love God and to love others. That is the aim of all we do.

Gospel Doctrine: Each of us, on our own, stand condemned before God as sinners. Through Jesus’ substitutionary death in our place on the cross and his victorious resurrection we are reconciled to God and to each other. Without this good news (aka “gospel”) no church would exist. The God to whom we have been reconciled makes himself known in Scripture. True doctrine is a gift. Therefore, we joyfully receive this gift by valuing theological depth through biblical teaching.

Gathering & Scattering: Through the cross, we are united to each other. We live out that unity by gathering weekly as a multi-generational church. Together we worship God, grow in our faith, and use our gifts to build up each other. After gathering together, we are also called to scatter out into the world. God has placed each member in a unique place for a unique purpose. God uses our gatherings to equip us in our scattering. God uses our scattering to draw more people in to our gathering.

Preaching & Prayer: We hear from God through his written word. Together we hear from God through weekly preaching. We respond to God in prayer. Together and individually, we are a community who depends on God and responds to God in prayer.
