On Wednesday, July 10th we are offering a serve day as a church. We will serve in Rock Valley, IA as the hands and feet of Christ doing flood relief work at Rock Valley Christian School. This opportunity to serve is open to the congregation - students and adults. Work gloves and work boots/old shoes and old clothing will need to be worn. We will leave the church parking lot at 8AM (please arrive by 7:45AM) and will arrive back by 4PM. If you plan to serve in this way, please RSVP to serve by July 9th by contacting Tanner Mans.

 

 

July — Join us on Tuesday, July 16th, for a fun evening of dinner fellowship, swimming (optional), and a firepit. We are having a salad dinner and swimming night at Beth Dryden's starting at 6:00 PM. Bring a favorite summer salad, fruit, veggies, cheese and crackers, a chair, and a towel. We hope you will bring a friend or meet a new one!

 

August — We can't wait to see you on Thursday, August 8th, for another wonderful friendship night at Jean Bender's. 

 

 

This Saturday, July 13th our Apex Missions Team leaves for Bridge of Hope Church in Kansas City to put on a VBS for a week. Please keep our team and those we will serve in your prayers. 

 

Come help us create decorations and decorate our church for VBS! This is a great time to get to know others from our church and to transform our space for the upcoming week. Join us on Thursday, July 18th and Friday, July 19th from 1-5 pm. 

 

 

Wednesday, July 17th at 5:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.

 

 

If you are interested in helping lead music for VBS, please try to attend practice on Sunday, July 14th at 10:30 am. Contact Tammy VanDeBerg if you have questions.

 

 

This fall we have a need for attenders of our church to serve. For our Children's Ministry, we need adults to teach Sunday School and for adults to serve with Awana. For our Youth Ministry we need a few more women to serve as Youth Leaders. If you’re interested in any of these areas, please reach out to Tanner Mans.

 

 

The money that we raised as a church was sent to the African School project to start Awana programs. This year we have been asked to pray specifically for the Mwiyala Primary School in Kenya. This school has 560 students and 29 teachers being reached with the gospel. Also continue to pray for Date Primary School in Zimbabwe which has 602 students and 16 teachers. This is just a few of the 68 that we sent money to establish the Awana programs in their school. Please pray for the impact that the word of God will have on each student, teacher and their families! Also, visit the Awana bulletin board to see some pictures and learn more about the school.
