Summer Sunday School
The Life of Jacob with Jim Power – Fellowship Hall – June 2nd & June 9th. Join us for this exciting two-part conclusion to Jim Power’s exposition on the life of Jacob!
EFCA Statement of Faith Class with Pastor Donn Hill – Fellowship Hall – Begins on June 16th. What are the theological convictions of our denomination, the Evangelical Free Church of America? Where do these convictions come from? Pastor Donn will unpack the biblical foundation of each of the ten points from the Statement of Faith of the Evangelical Free Church of America.
Family Sunday School with Youth Pastor Tanner Mans – Youth Room – Begins on June 9th. This is a class for all ages. We will walk through questions in the “New City Catechism.” Our time together also aims to help parents continue discipling their families in these truths throughout the rest of the week. Contact Pastor Tanner with any questions. We will meet downstairs in the youth room beginning on June 9th.
Summer Youth Reading Challenge Begins June 2nd
The Summer Youth Reading Challenge runs from June 2nd to August 25th. There are three reading divisions: preschool, beginner, and youth. Kids from age 3 years old to seniors in high school are welcome to take part. We look forward to seeing some new and returning readers this summer. Stop by room 102 in June to get a reading challenge packet. Thanks!
Congregational Meeting June 9 at 7:00 p.m.
All church members are encouraged to attend the congregational meeting on Sunday, June 9th at 7:00 p.m. The agenda will include a vote to approve 17 new members and a vote to approve two changes to the church by-laws that are recommended by the elders. The elders recommend the following applicants for membership: Tom and JoAnn Baker, Adam Brundieck, Eric and Christin Espinosa, Kevin Kruse, Tanner and Katie Mans, Nick Neeb, Bruce and Florine Rohr, Danielle Simons, Deanna Streeter, Denny Tolliver, Mark and Jessica Weibrecht, and Colin Wipf. Copies of the two recommended changes to the church by-laws are available at the Welcome Center.
Scuba Vacation Bible School
VBS runs from July 21st-July 25th from 6pm-8:30pm at First E Free. Children ages 3 to 5th grade are invited to attend. Please register by scanning the QR code on the handout at the welcome center. All Church Picnics
Church picnics take place at 6pm on the last Sunday of the month in the summer. They are held in place of our normal Sunday evening service. Tableware and beverages are provided, but everyone is asked to bring an entree to share, as well as a side based on your last name:
